Stray Reeds, named after the famous Stray in Harrogate, North Yorkshire (UK), is a small company specialising in hand-made oboe reeds and cor anglais reeds. Oboe reeds can be purchased in various strengths and also made to individual requirements. All oboe and cor anglais reeds are guaranteed and can be returned if not suitable.
I produce oboe reeds with a dark sound in all strengths but they can be produced with a lighter tone if this is required.
All oboe and cor anglais reeds are carefully handcrafted from selected cane and tied to high quality staples. Gouged cane or gouged and shaped cane can also be purchased at competitive prices.
